The SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022 added several provisions that allow taxpayers to save for retirement. This session will focus on provisions effective for 2024 and 2025 that impact taxpayers and recent guidance issued. We’ll discuss converting 529 plan funds to Roth IRAs, safe harbors for starter 401(k) plans and additional exceptions going into effect in for early distribution taxes. Additionally, we will cover planning opportunities for additional contributions due to a higher catch-up limit for taxpayers age 60-63 for employer sponsored plans effective for 2025.
